Okay, so after spending a few hours cleaning this up and coloring it in photoshop, I discovered it's only at 150 dpi. I don't know why I didn't check the scan before I started working on it, but I didn't. Hence, it's got some jpeg burn to it. Not my proudest moment. Luckily, I didn't do anything too fancy with this one, just some one-level shading and minor highlights. And after the discovery of the dpi problem, I didn't want to spend too much time making the background, hence the minimalistic gradient BS I filled in there. Woo. I would link to the original line drawing, but I put it in scraps, and ever since dA changed their layout, I can't find scraps anywhere.
So, anyhow, here we have Whitehall, sporting a rather different haircut than usual, and in casual clothes for once! This is based off of a self portrait I did a long time ago entitled Adventures in Solitude. The lurking tentacle shadow creatures are supposed to be a manifestation of the depression, loneliness, etc. that settle in on a person in solitude. So, there you have it.
